Who we are
Sommer Systems ApS ("Sommer Systems", "we", "us") operates sommersystems.com and is the data controller for the personal data described here. Address: Sommerfuglen 11, 7190 Billund, Denmark. CVR 36 42 82 36.
What we collect
This site runs no third-party analytics or advertising trackers, and serves its fonts from our own server. We process personal data in three situations:
- Contact form. When you submit the form, your name, email address, subject and message are emailed to us. We use them to answer you and keep the correspondence as long as needed for that and for our own records, then delete it. To stop abuse, a hashed copy of your IP address is kept for one hour.
- Server logs. Our web server records standard technical logs (IP address, browser, page requested, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting. These are kept for a limited period and then rotated out.
- Statistics. We count visits with Matomo, an open-source statistics tool we host ourselves at stats.s0mmer.dk. It sets no cookies and shares nothing with third parties. When you view a page, or follow a link from it to another site, it receives the page and referring page, the link followed, browser and device details, screen size, your local time and the visiting device's IP address. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, nothing is recorded. We use it only to see how the site is used.
Who processes the data for us
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) hosts the web server and the statistics server.
- Proton AG (Switzerland, covered by an EU adequacy decision) handles our email, including messages sent through the contact form.
Legal basis
We process the contact-form, server-log and statistics data above on the basis of our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): answering the enquiries we receive, keeping the site secure, and understanding how it is used.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and the Danish Data Protection Act you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing, and object to our processing — including the visit statistics. Just email us. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet.
